Katie Weatherby
Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate
MA, RCT-C
she/her
I am dedicated to fostering growth and resilience in my clients. My journey in this field has been marked by a commitment to trauma-informed and compassionate care, ensuring that each individual I work with receives the tailored support they need to thrive. I strongly believe in strength-building over flaw-fixing, fostering self-compassion, and providing clients with a safe and respectful space to discover what their needs are.
Building rapport through empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard, I assist clients in overcoming barriers to personal growth and facilitate meaningful changes in their lives. My development of individualized treatment plans focuses on mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance skills while holding space for the here and now.
It's easy to feel like we are stuck and unable to move forward, and that's okay. Balancing acceptance and change means saying "I'm struggling right now, but I will move forward. This difficulty will soon be proof of capability." I will meet you where you are, but I won't leave you where I found you.
