Rose received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in counselling from Kingswood university in Sussex NB and her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, from Yorkville University, Fredericton, NB. She is a Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT).
Rose has 10 years working in residential facilities for substance abuse and adults with mental health issues and 12 in nursing homes as a personal support worker. She has experience working with domestic violence survivors as a crisis interventionist. Rose strongly believes her clients deserve to be heard, respected and understood in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment. No matter what brings them to counselling. The foundation of her therapy techniques is built upon a warm, non-judgemental, person-centred and integrative approach. Her goal is to support her clients in accomplishing their goals toward positive self-growth by drawing upon various counselling modalities. Rose believes in working collaboratively with her clients to develop a plan that is specific to each client and their needs, as so to maximize their time together.
