Lynn received her Master of Education degree in Counselling from Acadia University (Hons.), and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University. Lynn is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She is also a registered member of the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional with the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals.

Lynn has approximately 20 years of counselling experience working with couples and individuals aged 15 and older with mental health issues including depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and grief. Lynn also has extensive experience working with individuals who are off work due to mental and/ or physical health issues providing pain management counselling, education on coping and pacing strategies and return to work transition coaching to encourage success in the workplace. Lynn uses a client-centred counselling approach tailored to the individual. She frequently employs a cognitive behavioural model, along with additional therapeutic strategies and tools to help clients address a wide array of issues to overcome challenges they are facing.
